Refund Policy

This Refund Policy describes when and how recon issues refunds for Subscriptions purchased through the website. It is consistent with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, the Indian Contract Act, 1872, and the chargeback / refund operating procedures of our payment aggregator Razorpay Software Private Limited, which is licensed by the Reserve Bank of India.

The short version. Try recon on the free tier first. If you upgrade and recon doesn't fit your workflow within the windows below, write to us and we will refund the most recent payment to the original payment method, less mandatory deductions.

01Refund windows

Monthly plans

7 days

Full refund of the most recent monthly charge if requested within seven (7) days of the charge, provided you have not exceeded the plan's published usage limits during that period.

Annual plans

14 days

Full refund of the annual charge if requested within fourteen (14) days of the charge. After day 14, no pro-rated refund is offered for annual plans.

Failed transactions

5–7 working days

Where a charge succeeded at the bank but the Service did not provision the Subscription, Razorpay auto-reverses the amount within 5–7 working days. No request is needed.

Duplicate charges

7 working days

If you were billed more than once for the same Subscription cycle, the duplicate is refunded within seven (7) working days of our verification.

03How to request a refund

  1. Write to useoboltrack@gmail.com from the email address registered with your account.
  2. Include the Razorpay Order ID or Payment ID (visible on your invoice or in the dashboard).
  3. Briefly describe the reason. You are not required to give a reason for refunds inside the windows above, but the context helps us improve.

We acknowledge refund requests within two (2) working days and decide within seven (7) working days of receiving the request. Approved refunds are issued through Razorpay to the original payment method.

04When the money reaches you

Once a refund is initiated by us with Razorpay, the time for the amount to appear in your account depends on your bank or card network:

These windows are determined by Razorpay and the issuing bank. recon cannot accelerate them.

05Downgrades and cancellations

You can cancel auto-renewal at any time from the dashboard. Cancellation is effective at the end of the current paid cycle; you keep access until that date. Downgrading to a lower paid tier or to the free tier mid-cycle is allowed but does not generate a refund of the difference for the current cycle.

06Service disruption

If a paid feature of the Service is unavailable for more than seventy-two (72) continuous hours due to a fault on our side (excluding maintenance windows announced in advance and Force Majeure events), we will, on request, issue a service credit equal to the pro-rata fee for the affected period. You may, in lieu of credit, request a refund of that pro-rata fee, which will be processed under Section 03.

07Force majeure

recon is not liable to refund or credit for failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government action, public-network or upstream-cloud outages, or RBI-mandated payment-system downtime.

08Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card network without first contacting us, we may suspend the account immediately. We respond to chargebacks through Razorpay with the relevant evidence. Repeated or fraudulent chargebacks may result in permanent termination of the account and recovery of associated costs as a debt due, in accordance with the Indian Contract Act, 1872.

09Consumer rights

Nothing in this Policy limits your rights as a "consumer" under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, including the right to a defect-free product or service and the right to seek redressal under that Act. If you are unable to resolve a complaint with us, you may approach the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
